Record ECEAP Waitlist - Parents to Testify in Olympia

On December 8th Parents will testify at the House Ways and Means Committee meeting in Olympia in support of funding for ECEAP and Working Connections Child Care assistance.

The state is facing a serious deficit, and is proposing large cuts in human services programs. Three of our past Parent Ambassadors, Gloria Fortune (ESD 113 ECEAP in Olympia) , Bianca Bailey (Kittitas County Head Start) and Cecily Jenkins (Tacoma Head Start) will be testifying at the public hearing.

These cuts are being proposed at a time when ECEAP waitlists are at an all-time high, and when working parents have few options other than quitting their jobs if they lose their Working Connections Child Care assistance.
