Training

 

150 hours of training, mentoring, and coaching received

by Parent Ambassadors in a yearlong program.

Parent Ambassadors are recruited to participate in a yearlong leadership and advocacy training program. Parents acquire skills in communicating and presenting their experiences to inform legislators and decision makers. Since 2009, Parent Ambassadors have provided testimony and advocated to improve the child-care subsidy system, expand early learning opportunities for children in the child welfare system, increase ECEAP services to all eligible children, and maintain funding for child-care assistance and ECEAP.
